Vampire Heir World News

With the sixth book in The Divine Vampire Heirs series being released, I’ve been getting quite a few questions such as what about Orlando, is this it, will there be more books? I’m aware of the divide between those of you who love and those of you who didn’t necessarily like Orlando. I know I put you through an emotional roller coaster, but it was necessary for the entire Vampire Heirs World.

Wait, what? What do you mean the entire Vampire Heirs World?

This post is sort of my unofficial announcement of more books in this world, including books with the Royales (Rebel Vampires is next!), the Mercy Coven, and the Daring Brothers. I have also planned quite a few more books for the Divines beyond the six released, but not for a few months.

Creatively, I need a small break from Jewel and her guys, which is why I left Blood Vows with a happy for now ending with a few things still up in the air, such as Orlando. While the main story arc is complete for the six books, I do have more stories coming. It is such a rich world, and who doesn’t want to see the guys handle raising Jade? I know I do. You just have to hang tight.

Thank you SO MUCH for all of your support and enthusiasm. You all are the best.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.

XOXO, Ginna

End of the Year Recap and Plans for 2017

It feels like yesterday that I was writing my recap for 2015, and now we’re moving forward into 2017. I almost don’t believe it. As I forge ahead, looking at the future and what I want to accomplish, I lovingly look back at what I have done in 2016. While I didn’t publish the one book (Bond to Break) that I had hoped to due to unforeseen circumstances, I did get to publish the first three books (Tainted, Crushed, and Haunted) in a series that is close to my heart. I also exceeded my writing goal and completed seven new books, 3 being the final ones of the Demon Within series, two being YA contemporary romances, and the last two being the first of a brand new fantasy series.

As for 2017, I’m going to focus on releasing the books I wrote in 2016 while also writing another six books for 2018. I’m also going to start looking into expanding my editorial team to include a few more beta readers since my schedule will be pretty full. If you are interested in becoming a beta reader for me, please contact me here. I’m looking for people who love all types of YA, are honest in opinion, and are avid readers. You do not have to proofread for errors, but I would like people who can read and respond fairly quickly (2-3 weeks.) All beta readers will get a print copy of the book, swag, and a ton of gratitude.

I want to thank everyone who has been a tremendous help in my somewhat daunting publishing schedule. With the help of Jan, Katie, Jamie, and Courtney, Destined for Love, Stolen from Me, Tainted, Crushed, Haunted, and O Unholy Nights made it out into the world, and I couldn’t be happier with them. You are all so invaluable and amazing.

Also, a special thanks to all my readers near and far. Without you, this journey wouldn’t be as amazing. Here’s to a new year full of happiness, love, good books, new and old friendships, and so much more!

End of the Year Recap and Plans for 2016

As the year comes to a close, I can’t help but think about what a wild, sometimes devastating, ride 2015 has been for me. I didn’t get the chance to accomplish all my goals for the year, but I’m okay with that, because what I did accomplish I never thought I could do in the first place. This year has unfortunately been more terrible than good, but here I am, still standing and ready for what is to come.

With all the struggles I’ve faced this year, a lot of my publishing career has been put on the back burner. As an Indie author, I just couldn’t afford to invest the money it takes to put a good book into your hands, not to mention the hands of new readers. I didn’t have the time or money to invest in marketing, and I couldn’t spread the news about my books by word of mouth all on my own. It has forced me to make some decisions that I didn’t want to, like push back future publications longer than I expected and pursue other options for the new books I’ve written.

So, with saying all that, I wanted to let you in on a few not-so-secret things that could help get my books into your hands sooner:

-First, tell your friends. Spread the word about my books anyway you can. Word of mouth is the best gift you can give an author.

-Second, write a review. Reviews make or break a book and it helps author’s gain notice. It doesn’t have to be a book report. Writing a simple line about how you enjoyed the book makes a world of difference to authors.

-Third, interact with me on social media. It’s easy to scroll past my posts on social media, and the more you scroll, the more I start to disappear. Interacting keeps me around, and it also helps me gain visibility in a time where social media is trying to force me into paying to show you anything. I’m just not going to do it.

-Fourth, sign up for my infrequent newsletter, so you can stay up-to-date on everything to do with my books. This way you’ll never miss any news, sneak peeks, and even giveaways.

Doing even one of these things helps tremendously, and it’d help me release more books for you to enjoy. Also, let me know if you do any of these things. I’d like to thank you personally!

As for my plans for the upcoming year, I will try everything in my power to release the rest of the Finding Nate series. I’ve been working hard on them for months, and I can’t wait to share the rest of Mira and Nate’s story. I’ll also try to publish one more companion series, which I think is my favorite yet, but only time will tell. My other goals for 2016 are to blog more consistently, send out more newsletters, feature twice as many books from authors I love, hold more giveaways, and to reach fifty reviews for Destined for Dreams. I’d also like to write a completely new series and a standalone novel, which I’m most excited about. While I love the Creature Council and the HPA world, I’m ready to explore new places and people in my writing.

On a final note, I’d like to thank every single one of you for following me and reading my books. Thanks for the kind comments and for loving my stories. You’ve been my shining light through my dismal year, and I appreciate you with my entire heart.

Happy New Year!
